Let's Create Some Holiday Magic--For Someone Else

The Story of Molly

I have had the good fortune to be blessed with the companionship of many great dogs over the years--most of whom came from shelters or rescue organizations.  Having been involved in Newfoundland rescue for a long time, I happily accepted the call when I learned about Molly, a young Newfie who was taken out of an abusive home at the age of 18 months.

Starved, beaten and afraid of everyone when she came to us, this young lady quickly discovered the joys of a loving family and made an amazing turnaround.  With an indomitable spirit and zest for life, Molly bounded through the house with a grin on her face and a wagging tail that belied her past.

We nicknamed her "Purpose".  She had a purpose in everything she did, and that purpose was to enjoy every day and make those around her happy!

Sadly, Molly was afflicted with serious heart disease.  Disease that, I suspect, could have been treated with proper medication at a young age.  The vets told me there was nothing we could do for her, and that her life would likely be cut short due to sudden cardiac arrest.  They were right.

Nine months after finding her "forever" home, Molly died.  I will never forgive the people who abused her, but the gift Molly gave me was to help me find my purpose--to raise money to help our shelters and rescue organizations take care of the wonderful animals that God entrusted to us.

In honor of Molly and all the shelter animals like her, we donate 5% of each purchase to Newfoundland rescue and other large breed rescue groups.

Let's stop the abuse--and keep Molly's memory alive, forever.

Thank you,
Pat

Thank you, Chantilly Virginia!

I just returned from the Chantilly, Virginia Fall Craftsman's Classic show, and received an email from my rescue network about a St. Bernard who was in urgent need of heartworm treatment before she could go to her forever home.  A very generous vet had agreed to do the treatment for a reduced cost, and thanks to my Chantilly customers, our 5% donation of show sales allowed us to pay the bill for Mable's treatment!

She will soon be on her way to health, and to a loving home.  Thank you, Chantilly, for helping us help Mable!

Mable will now receive her heartworm treatment and be on her way to an adoptive home thanks to all of you!
